This is a 21 year old BenRiach single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV, matured for at least twenty-one years.
The whisky comes from four cask types: bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks, Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and red wine casks. The Master Blender combined them, and each wood is said to add vanilla, chocolate or red fruit notes to BenRiach's sweet, fruit-led barley style. The colour is a bright autumn gold.
On the nose there is ripe summer fruit compote, candied peel and stem ginger. The palate moves from soft vanilla and cinnamon to red fruits and citrus peel, ending in a long, sweet finish of barley sugars and honeyed malt.
