A 21 year old Speyside single malt from BenRiach, made from a mix of unpeated and peated spirit. It was matured in four types of cask: bourbon barrels, sherry casks, virgin oak casks and Bordeaux red wine casks. The whisky from each is then married together and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings ripe apple and apricot with honey, toasted nuts, pine and baking spices. On the palate are dark cherry, poached pear, cocoa, caramelised nuts, ginger and cinnamon. The finish is long, with honeyed smoke, candied fruits and dry oak tannins.
