This is a 22 year old BenRiach finished in dark rum casks, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The colour is a bright, polished gold.
The nose shows vanilla syrup and poached pears dusted with sweet barley grist, with oak spice and candied peel adding a warm contrast. Ripe yellow plums and nectarines come through on the palate, mixed with vanilla, ginger and tangerine peel, then wild flower honey and stewed barley.
The finish is long and very luscious, with rich dark sugars and warm oak spice from the dark rum cask.
