BenRiach – 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is BenRiach 25 Year Old, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46% abv. It is made from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit, then matured for at least twenty-five years in four types of cask: sherry casks, bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks and Madeira wine casks. The whisky from each cask type is married together, and the long maturation lets the Speyside smoke mellow and join with the fruit, malt and oak. It is layered with baked fruit, honey malt and toasted oak spice, finishing long with rich, caramelised smoke.
