BenRiach – 30 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

BenRiach 30 Year Old is a Speyside single malt made from peated spirit, bottled at 46% abv in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for at least thirty years in four types of cask: sherry casks, bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks and port casks from the Douro Valley. The whisky from each cask type was then married together. Over the long maturation, the Speyside smoke mellows and blends with the fruit, malt and oak. It is described as layered with dark fruits, rich walnut and velvety oak spice, ending in a long, complex finish of smoked honey.
