This is the second edition of Malting Season from Benriach, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at 48.9% ABV. It is a limited release.
The barley, of the Concerto variety, was malted by hand on the distillery's own malting floor. The whisky was matured in first fill bourbon casks.
The nose is fresh, with apple, malt, yeast and vanilla. The palate is full and creamy, with grain, biscuit and yeast flavours alongside honey, vanilla and oak. The finish is medium in length, malty and peppery.
