BenRiach Malting Season 2nd Edition is a small batch Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at 48.9% ABV. It is made only from barley malted on the distillery's own malting floor, using Concerto barley. The spirit was distilled on 20 November 2013 and matured in first-fill bourbon casks. It is bottled without added colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose combines sweet barley with toffee and almonds, plus a little apple. The palate is smooth and light, opening with vanilla and pears and followed by honey. The finish is long and nutty, with a gentle spiciness.
