BenRiach Malting Season Third Edition is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 48.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from floor-malted concerto barley chosen by Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie.
The spirit matures in virgin oak and first-fill bourbon casks, which give a golden barley colour. The edition belongs to the distillery's yearly Maltings Season, when the team hand malts selected barley on site in tribute to founder John Duff.
The nose is malty and sweet, with wild bergamot, pear and meadowsweet honey. On the palate are clementine, floral honey and gentle barley spice, followed by malted almond, apricot and traces of wild cherry.
