Benriach Peated Quarter Casks is a peated Speyside single malt made from peated barley malt and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
After maturing in bourbon casks, the whisky has a second maturation in smaller quarter casks, where the higher proportion of wood to spirit strengthens the influence of the oak.
The nose brings wood smoke, burning heather, ripe orchard fruit, peach, cinnamon sugar and fresh barley. The palate offers intense peat smoke, green pear, nectarine, nutty oak, vanilla, white pepper and lime. The finish is dry, fresh and smoky, with oak spice and citrus.
