BenRiach The Sixteen is a 16 year old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a combination of bourbon, sherry and virgin oak casks. The distillery describes the fruit, malt and oak of its Speyside style as becoming more concentrated by sixteen years, with stone fruit, creamy malt, wild honey and nutty oak spice.
The nose offers baked apple, creamy hazelnut malt, and ginger-spiced apricot and honey. The palate has spiced stewed apple, stone fruit and mellow nutty oak, with honeyed malt and candied peel. The finish is rounded and creamy, with honeyed nuts and dried fruits.
