BenRiach The Smoky Ten is a 10-year-old peated single malt from BenRiach Distillery in Longmorn, Speyside, in a 75cl bottle. It is the current name for the expression previously sold as Curiositas.
It is made from heavily peated malt at around 35 to 40 PPM and matured in ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks. BenRiach is one of the few Speyside distilleries to keep up active peated production.
The smoke is described as earthy and heathery rather than medicinal and maritime.
