Benriach – The Smoky Ten 10 Year Old (70cl)

Benriach The Smoky Ten is a ten-year-old Speyside single malt, in a 70cl bottle. It is made from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit, with the peated barley smoked with Highland peat, a style Benriach returned to in the early 1970s. The whisky is matured in three types of cask: bourbon barrels, Jamaican rum casks and toasted virgin oak. The casks are then married together. The nose offers ripe orchard fruit syrup, smoked honey glaze and oak spice. On the palate are smoked apple wood, honey maple and spiced pear, and the finish lingers with fruit and smoked oak.
