BenRiach The Smoky Twelve is a peated Speyside single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It combines unpeated and peated spirit, matured for at least 12 years in bourbon barrels, sherry casks and Marsala wine casks, then married together.
The colour is a burnished gold, from the casks alone with no added caramel.
The nose offers smoked vanilla, charred orange and toasted almond. Dark chocolate, fruit peel, brown sugar and smoked oak follow on the palate, and the finish is cocoa and orange with smoke.
