BenRiach The Twelve is a 12 year old Speyside single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is neither coloured nor chill-filtered.
The whisky is matured for at least twelve years in sherry, bourbon and port casks, and the casks are then vmarried together. The port casks have brought out the baked fruit notes in what is mainly a sherry-led malt.
The nose is rich maple honey, cocoa and baked forest fruits. The palate brings maraschino cherry, baked orange and hazelnut. The finish is lingering, with sultanas and spiced mocha.
