Benriach The Twelve is a 12 year old Speyside single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from three whiskies, each matured for 12 years on its own in sherry, bourbon and ex-port casks before the three are married together.
The nose is sweet, with maple syrup, cocoa and warm forest fruits, plus a touch of wood and a spicy edge. On the palate are maraschino cherries and orange, with hints of hazelnut, sultana and mocha. The finish is medium in length and fruity.
