This limited edition BenRiach Twelve marks the Lunar New Year of 2024, the Year of the Dragon. It is the second in BenRiach's annual Lunar New Year series, following the Year of the Rabbit in 2023. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The unpeated spirit is matured for at least twelve years in sherry casks, bourbon barrels and port casks, then married together. Adding port casks to the recipe has intensified the baked fruit notes in this sherry-rich malt.
It is described as layered with baked fruit, maple honey and cocoa, finishing with lingering sultana and spiced mocha.
