Refill butt
A ten year old Benrinnes, distilled in 2011 and matured in a refill butt, from Douglas Laing's Provenance series. It is bottled at 46% with no colouring and no chill-filtration, and 618 bottles were filled by hand into ceramic decanters. The distillery was built by Peter Mackenzie in 1826. The nose is cherries and spice, with sandalwood, clove and cinnamon. The palate brings chocolate and cherry with the richness of a black forest. The finish is intense and spicy, fading to burned sugar and black peppercorn.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
