A 10 year old single malt from Benrinnes, matured in a refill hogshead and bottled by Simply Whisky at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 21 April 2011 and bottled on 1 December 2021, and 364 bottles were filled.
The nose combines sweet red plums, honey, lemons and green apple skin, with leather, walnuts and milk chocolate emerging over time. On the palate come gummy sweets, pepper, lemons and juicy blood oranges, with a rounded mouthfeel. The finish is long, savoury and chocolatey with a slight mint note, ending in honey, a little waxiness and a wisp of dry hay.
