Benrinnes – 12 Year Old 55.6% American Oak Hogshead (55.6%)

This is a single cask Benrinnes, distilled on 1 July 2008 and bottled at cask strength, 55.6%, on 22 June 2021. It matured for 12 years in an American oak hogshead, and 272 bottles were filled from it. Benrinnes sits in Speyside, in the shadow of the mountain it is named after. Partial triple distillation gives the spirit a heavier, meatier style than many Speyside malts, with a notably oily, fruit-heavy character.
