This is a 12 year old Benrinnes from Speyside, distilled in 2004 and bottled by Douglas Laing for its Clan Denny range. It comes from a single refill cask, with 150 bottles drawn at natural cask strength, 55.6% ABV, for Divo Switzerland.
The nose offers minerals, copper and chalk alongside linseed oil, limoncello and orchard fruits. The palate is waxy, with pear, a faint saltiness, black pepper and a little charred oak. The finish is medium, with olive brine, white pepper and wax.
