This Benrinnes single malt was distilled on 1 July 2010 and matured for 13 years in a hogshead. The independent bottler Elixir Distillers selected cask 307104 on 3 January 2024 for The Single Malts of Scotland range, and it produced 280 bottles.
It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. Benrinnes is known for a heavy, characterful distillate with a notable texture.
The nose shows apple and pear with creamy vanilla, a light honey sweetness and soft malt. The palate is creamy and full, with orchard fruit, sweet honey and vanilla over a malty base. The finish is long, with dry oak spice and gentle fruit.
