This Benrinnes 14 Year Old was bottled by Adelphi from cask 305258, a refill Oloroso sherry hogshead. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2025 at 56.2%, and the cask yielded 282 bottles.
The whisky has a polished brass colour. It is described as rich, salty and deeply aromatic, in keeping with the sturdy character of Benrinnes.
The nose has olive focaccia, dark chocolate with sea salt, red fruit, blackcurrant and grape, and a note of freshly cut pine. The palate is broad and structured, with old leather, a wood-panelled library, ripe fig, dried bresaola and a rustic hint of cassoulet. The finish balances sweetness and salinity.
