This is a 15 year old single malt from Benrinnes in Speyside, bottled by Hunter Laing in its First Editions series. It was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 49.6% ABV, without chill-filtering and with natural colour.
It matured in a refill hogshead, and 139 bottles were filled.
The nose is peppery, fruity and sweet, with lemon sorbet. The palate is powerful and zesty, with sweet and sour notes of marmalade, lemon and malted barley. The finish is long, with oak balancing the oily character of the spirit.
