This Speyside single malt from Benrinnes was distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2023 by Berry Bros & Rudd as cask number 62 in its Exceptional Casks series. It matured in a hogshead and is bottled at 42.1% in a 70cl bottle, presented in a wooden box. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is layered, with ripe fruit, spice and a hint of vanilla. The palate is full and elegant, with dried fruit, honey and light oak. The finish is long, gently spicy and ends on a fine sweetness.
