This is a Benrinnes single malt distilled in 1997 and matured for more than 25 years in a sherry hogshead. La Maison du Whisky bottled it in 2025 at 52.3%, filling 221 bottles from the single cask. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. It is Artist #15, themed on The Dark Side of the Moon, an edition that looks at the influence of Andalusian sherry casks through six single casks from Speyside and the Highlands. The artwork is based on work by the South African artist Sthenjwa Luthuli. The nose combines iodine, saffron, heather honey, prune, fig and date, with leather and roasted chestnuts emerging. The palate brings dark chocolate, tobacco, mango, persimmon and apricot. The finish is long and warming, with camphor, pipe tobacco and malted barley.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
