A single malt from Benrinnes, from 2002, released by Elixir Distillers as Whisky Trail Knights. It is bottled at 54.6% in a 70cl bottle.
Benrinnes lies in the centre of Speyside on the northern slope of the mountain of the same name, at 250 metres. It was founded in 1835 as Lyne of Ruthrie. The low wines from its wash still are divided between two spirit stills, No. 2 first and then No. 1, and the distillate from that is run again, a rather unusual form of triple distillation. The distillery draws its water from the Scurran and Rowentree Burns.
