This is a Benrinnes single malt, distilled on 6 January 2006 and bottled in March 2022 at 16 years old. It was finished in a Moscatel hogshead, cask 6137, and only 282 bottles were filled. It is Release No. 79 of Infrequent Flyers, bottled by Alistair Walker.
The nose is fresh, with citrus, lime peel, grated ginger, pistachio and boiled sweets. The palate is very spicy from the start, with a peppery note, then moves to deeper, elegant flavours of almonds, sugar, apricots, raisins and baked Bramley apples.
