This is a 12 year old Benrinnes from Speyside, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2021 for the Single Malts of Scotland range from Elixir Distillers.
It matured in a hogshead and was bottled at cask strength, 56.2%, in a run of 282 bottles.
The nose is light and fruity, with apple, pear and grape alongside vanilla and citrus. The palate opens with a spicy edge and plenty of apple, vanilla, lemon and further spice. The finish is of medium length, with pear and vanilla.
