This is a single cask Benrinnes, distilled in 2009 and bottled by Adelphi at 14 years old and 56.3% ABV. It matured in an Oloroso American oak hogshead.
Benrinnes used triple distillation until the stills were reconfigured in 2007, when a more conventional double distillation took over. A malt distilled in 2009 is therefore among the earliest made with the newer approach.
The cask gives a juicy, sherry-driven dram.
