A single malt from Benrinnes in Speyside, distilled in 2009 and bottled by Elixir Distillers under its Single Malts of Scotland label. It is bottled at 55.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery lies at 250 metres on the northern slope of Ben Rinnes and was founded in 1835 as Lyne of Ruthrie. Low wines from its washstill are split, going first to spirit still No. 2 and then No. 1, and the resulting distillate is distilled once more. The water comes from the Scurran and Rowentree burns.
