This Benrinnes is a single cask bottling in The Single Malts of Scotland series from Elixir Distillers. It was distilled on 1 July 2010, matured for thirteen years in hogshead 307104 and bottled on 3 January 2024. The 280 bottles were filled at a cask strength of 56.3%, without chill-filtration or added colour.
Benrinnes is a Speyside distillery, and this whisky was distilled after its period of partial triple distillation had ended.
The nose is ripe apples and pears with creamy vanilla, malty sweetness, a touch of honey and light floral notes. The palate is full and creamy, with apple, pear, honey, malt, soft vanilla and gentle spice. The finish is long and dry, with oak, fine spice, fruit and vanilla.
