This Speyside Benrinnes was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022 after more than ten years. It was finished in a first-fill sherry butt and bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.1%, without chill-filtering or added colour. The release comes to 660 bottles.
It belongs to the twelfth Artist collection from La Maison du Whisky, whose label shows Lettera d'amore by Gesine Arps.
Apricot, beeswax and honey mark the nose, with florals, toffee, ginger and roasted walnuts. The palate is oily, with apricot, chocolate, mocha, gingerbread and salted caramel. The long finish brings cough sweets, pine resin, candied apricot and ginger.
