A Speyside single malt from Benrinnes, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022 by Wilson & Morgan as part of their Barrel Selection. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%, without chill-filtration.
The whisky spent roughly nine to ten years in bourbon oak casks before a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The nose offers dried fruit, sultanas and raisins with vanilla, toffee and baking spices. On the palate it is velvety, with honeyed malt, dark chocolate, stewed plums and cinnamon. The finish is medium to long, with lingering sweet sherry and gentle spice.
