This is a 9 year old Benrinnes, distilled on 15 January 2013 and bottled on 2 February 2022. It belongs to Claxton's Exploration Series.
The whisky matured in a red wine barrique. Each bottle contains a gold token, and collecting five gives access to a special bottling.
The nose is fruity and creamy, with strawberries, dunnage warehouse, cream, ripe cranberries and a gentle peppery spice.
