Benrinnes – 21 Years Old (70cl, 56.9%)

This is a 21 year old single malt from Benrinnes, a Speyside distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 56.9% ABV. Benrinnes was first founded in 1826, but a flood destroyed it completely in 1829. It was rebuilt in 1835 and has carried the Benrinnes name since 1838. The distillery passed to the Distillers Company Limited in 1925 and later came under Diageo. The whisky here is triple distilled, which is unusual for a Scottish whisky.
