This is a 29 year old Speyside single malt from Benrinnes, distilled on 24 October 1996. It matured in a Port hogshead, cask 11675, and was bottled in July 2026 by Best Dram. The cask gave 258 bottles.
The Port cask is credited with its berry notes. The nose pairs vanilla and dark berries with dried herbs, a hint of Port and a touch of smoke. On the palate, strong malt and creamy vanilla meet the fruit of the Port, with firm oak. The finish is long and spicy, with dry oak, light smoke and a soft vanilla echo.
