Benrinnes – 9 Year Old 2016/2026 Cask Partnership Koval Bourbon Cask Finish (55.2%)

This is a nine-year-old Benrinnes bottled by Murray McDavid as part of its Cask Partnership Series, at 55.2% ABV. It was distilled in Speyside in 2016 and bottled in 2026. For its last four years it matured in 110-litre American oak casks from the Koval Distillery in Chicago. The small cask size increases contact between wood and spirit. The nose offers dried pineapple and fine citrus oils. On the palate there is creamy, nutty sweetness with a firm structure, and the finish is peppery and spicy with fruity echoes.
