Benromach – 12 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

Benromach 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt introduced in September 2026 as a permanent part of the distillery's core range. It matured only in first-fill sherry casks, which bring fruitcake, raspberry and orange together with black pepper, while the gentle smoke of the Benromach style sits alongside. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and in natural colour. The nose opens with spiced cinnamon buns and stewed raisins, then ginger, butterscotch, citrus, cocoa powder and soft smoke. On the palate, rich fruitcake gives way to orange and raspberry, with black pepper, charred oak and fine smoke. The finish is medium in strength and spicy, with blackcurrant lingering, and a little menthol and smoke.
