This is the second batch of the 2022 release of Benromach 40 Year Old, a single malt matured in sherry casks.
The nose offers cinnamon, ginger, Seville orange, roasted hazelnut and stewed red berries. On the palate come Morello cherries, baked apple, liquorice, dark chocolate, fruit cake and black pepper. The finish carries hints of dark berries and rich oak.
