Benromach – 40 Year Old (70cl)

This is a 40 year old single malt from Benromach, a Speyside distillery, in a 70cl bottle and supplied in a presentation box. The whisky matured for more than four decades in carefully chosen casks. The nose combines ripe dark fruit, caramel and a touch of exotic spice, with well-integrated oak underneath. On the palate there is cooked fruit, light spice and a hint of peat. The finish is long and soft, leaving vanilla and a trace of smoke.
