This Speyside single malt was distilled at Auchroisk in 2010 and matured for 15 years before bottling at 57.5%. It was finished in a 62-litre octave cask made from former Pedro Ximénez casks. Only 79 bottles were filled from the single cask.
On the nose are digestive biscuits, caramel and rich fruitcake, with red fruit jam running through. The palate is rich and sweet, with dates, raisins and soft molasses, supported by malt and structure. The finish brings oak, orange peel and a touch of bitterness from roasted nuts.
