A single grain whisky from North British, the Edinburgh distillery founded in 1885, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd from cask 4314. It was distilled in 2000, matured for 13 years and bottled at 46%. North British makes its grain whisky from maize and a high proportion of unmalted grain. This bottling has a pale gold colour. The nose is sweet and aromatic, with tropical fruit and butterscotch. The palate is refined and creamy, and the finish is light and clean.
