Big Peat 15th Anniversary is a limited edition Islay blended malt from Douglas Laing & Co., made to mark fifteen years of Big Peat. It was matured in red wine casks and bottled at 50% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration.
The nose is warm and earthy, led by smoke, with dark forest fruits, vanilla and butterscotch. The palate is driven by fruit, with toffee, dark chocolate and a subtle nutty note. The finish is long, with home-baking spices and lingering dry smoke.
