Big Peat The German Christmas Edition 2026 Frau Holle is an Islay blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 51.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was bottled exclusively for Germany, in an edition of 600 bottles, and is non-chill-filtered with no added colouring. The label draws on a well-known winter fairy tale.
The nose combines strong peat smoke and maritime notes with sweet malt, charred oak and dense chimney smoke. The palate opens surprisingly sweet and spicy before campfire ash and dark oak take over. The finish is long, dry and smoky, with ash, oak spice and malty sweetness.
