Bivrost Yggdrasil 2024 (50cl, 46%)

Bivrost Yggdrasil is an Arctic single malt from Aurora Spirits in Norway, bottled at 46% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It is the first standard release from Bivrost, with an outturn of 9009 bottles. The whisky is made from Nordic malted barley and melted glacial water, and it is between six and nine years old. It matured in Oloroso-seasoned casks and in the distillery's own charred casks, kept in a Viking-style longhouse where the average annual temperature is 0.6°C. The nose offers dried fruit, bonfire, toasted nuts, orange blossom and a hint of peat. The mouthfeel is velvety, with toasted oak among the flavours.
