Black Velvet Canadian Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Black Velvet is a Canadian blended whisky bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It begins with a flavour-rich whisky concentrate made from Canadian rye and barley, using clear water from glacial streams, and this is matured for two years in oak casks. The concentrate is then blended with a base whisky of particular purity, and the blend is matured for a further four years. Canadian whisky is made from a mixture of corn, wheat and rye, which is why it is often simply called rye. Its light flavour makes it a frequent choice for cocktails.
