Blackadder Black Snake Vat No.3 Third Venom Sherry Cask (59.7%)

Black Snake is a vatting of single malt whiskies from independent bottler Blackadder in Scotland. This is Vat No.3, Third Venom, bottled in 2017 at a cask strength of 59.7%. The whisky starts in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, then moves to sherry butts for about another year. Two thirds of each cask is bottled, and Blackadder calls these casks vats because they form a solera-style system. After each release, two new ex-bourbon casks are added so the system continues. This release was finished in Oloroso sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and its colour has not been adjusted.
