This is a single cask Benrinnes from Speyside, bottled by Blackadder in its Raw Cask series at 54.2% ABV. Cask 306673 was a Barbados rum hogshead.
The Raw Cask series is bottled straight from the cask, so natural sediment and wood particles can remain in the bottle.
The nose is fresh, with sweet and sour citrus and a hint of fudge. On the palate there is lime panna cotta, grapefruit and passion fruit, alongside salted caramel and caramelised banana. The finish is long and warming, with custard, grapefruit sorbet and a touch of passion fruit.
