A vatted malt from Blackadder, the first in its Chimera range, bottled from a single bourbon cask as one of 237 bottles. It combines four single malts: an Islay from a refill cask, one from a first-fill ex-bourbon cask, a sherry cask Highland and a sherry cask Speyside.
The malts were vatted together for extra ageing before being bottled from the cask in which they had married.
The nose offers caramel, raisins, honey, toasted oak and a touch of banana over underlying peat. The palate is velvety and bittersweet, with raisins, a hint of cocoa and peat char. The finish is long and sweet, with medium tannins, caramel and warming oak.
