Red Snake is an 8 year old Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery, distilled in 2016 and bottled by Blackadder in July 2024. It was matured in a single bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength, 60.6%, in a 70cl bottle. The cask yielded 237 bottles, with no chill filtration and no added colour.
The nose brings ripe apples, pears and citrus, with subtle spice and a hint of oak. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with fruit, a sweet malt character and oak spice. The finish is long, with sweet and spicy notes that fade gently and oak and fruit that linger.
